Monika Groth: four websites rebuilt in one week – practice, author, reportage, online consulting

Naturopath, novelist, crime reporter, online consultant for irritable bowel syndrome: Monika Groth runs four websites. All four sat on a cancelled hosting package with outdated technology and traces of attacks. Within one week we rebuilt all four on Joomla 6 with YOOtheme Pro – since then she maintains appointments, readings and texts via WhatsApp.

The task

Four sites for four audiences: naturheilpraxisgroth.de (practice in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg with online appointment booking), monikagroth.de (novels, readings, newsletter – bilingual), hinterdemfall.de (crime reportage) and reizdarmtherapie.online (online consulting Germany-wide, bilingual). The old sites ran on Joomla 4 with a page builder in an entry-level package that had been cancelled; one of them showed traces of a break-in attempt. Content and URLs were to be preserved, the client's design implemented, and everything handed over so that she never has to deal with the technology again.

The implementation

1. Content secured: all texts, images and URLs of the four old sites archived; 18 practice pages, 19 blog articles, 16 author pages, 6 reportages and the IBS sections taken over.
2. Rebuilt in one week: four Joomla 6 installations with YOOtheme Pro, each in the client's own design, fonts served locally, forms with invisible spam protection, appointment booking loaded on click (no tracking before consent). Live on 4, 6, 6 and 8 September 2026.
3. Languages: monikagroth.de and reizdarmtherapie.online fully German/English with language associations.
4. Security: own servers with daily off-site backups, access protection in front of the backend, automatic blocking of login attempts – a later dictionary attack with thousands of attempts had no effect.
5. Local visibility: structured business data for the practice, Google Business Profile linked, neighbourhood terms in titles and texts.

Day-to-day maintenance

The client sends requests as text or voice message to her WhatsApp group: rename a character in a novel, add a reading date, free up a slot in the booking calendar, add a box for a panel talk. Every change is confirmed with before/after screenshots. She also has a customer dashboard with visitors, Google queries and AI mentions for all four sites.

Result

For the practice, “Heilpraktikerin Prenzlauer Berg” climbed from position 20 to 7 within three weeks, “Naturheilpraxis Prenzlauer Berg” from 25 to 11; Google impressions of the practice site more than doubled compared with the previous month. monikagroth.de ranks at position 5 for the name search and is cited by ChatGPT as a source in 3 out of 10 test questions. Lighthouse mobile for all four sites: 83 to 94 performance, 100 best practices, 100 SEO.

What a project like this costs
