Adopting AI with Funding: Get Training and Projects Subsidised
Many small businesses want to use AI tools but shy away from the costs of adoption and training. Yet getting started with AI is well fundable in 2026 – in three places:
1. Training: up to 100 % subsidy
Training on digital tools and AI can be subsidised through the Federal Employment Agency under the Qualification Opportunities Act. Businesses with fewer than ten employees may have the full course costs reimbursed, plus wage subsidies during training. Our training sessions and workshops can be tailored accordingly.
2. Consulting: use the BAFA grant
Analysing where AI genuinely saves time and money in your business – and where it does not – qualifies as business consulting under the BAFA programme: an assessment basis of €3,500 per consultation, with a grant of 50 to 80 % depending on the region. The programme runs in its current form until the end of 2026; the application must be submitted before consulting begins.
3. Implementation: KfW promotional loan
Larger AI projects – such as integrating AI features into your website, shop or internal processes – can be financed at low interest through KfW’s ERP promotional loan for digitalisation, since 2026 even for small loan amounts. In Berlin, projects with a development component may additionally qualify for the Transfer BONUS with grants of up to €45,000.
In a free initial consultation we show you which AI use cases pay off for your business – and the funding check tells you how much of it can be funded.
